Preheat your oven to a 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
Now you should grease and flour a 10 inch Bundt pan then mix together the flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside.
Take a large bowl and cream together the 6 tablespoons butter and 2 cups sugar until it is light and fluffy. Beat in the flour mixture alternately with the evaporated milk. Stir in the cranberries. Pour batter into prepared pan.
Put it all in the preheated oven for around fifty till sixty minutes, or until you can stick in a toothpick and it comes out clean. Then let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes, turn out on a wire rack and cool it completely.
To make the Hot Butter Sauce: take a saucepan, combine 1 cup butter, 2 cups sugar, and cream. Bring it to a boil over medium heat, lower heat and let it simmer for around ten minutes. Remove from the heat and mix in vanilla. Serve slices of cake generously covered with hot butter sauce.
